the office fosters responsible conduct and personal accountability, strengthens skills in conflict management and resolution, and focuses on the moral and ethical growth and development of the individual within the greater community.

The office is responsible for handling incidents of student and student group misconduct.
The Dean of Students is the chief conduct officer for the College and, as such, oversees the student conduct process.

Any question of interpretation regarding the College's code of conduct and/or the conduct review procedures shall be referred to the vice president for student life, dean of students or designee for final determination.

The Handbook supplements the College's catalog as a source of additional information about Siena College. 

The Handbook is not intended to be a complete statement of rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, terms, conditions, etc., nor does it contain a complete listing of all programs and services.

Siena College reserves the right to change the tuition, fees, room and board costs, rules governing admission, occupancy of the residence facilities, granting of degrees and any other regulations, rule, term, condition, policy, guideline, affecting its students.  Such changes take effect whenever Siena authorities deem necessary whether there is actual notice to students.

Siena College also reserves the right to exclude at any time students whose academic record is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is found to be detrimental to the orderly functioning of the College.

Distribution

All students will be sent a notification via their Siena email address with the web address for Siena Life.  Hard copies are available in the Dean of Students Office and in the residence halls.

Emergency Assistance for Students

Grounded in our Franciscan and Catholic traditions, the Office of the Dean of Students serves as a resource, advocate and partner to assist students in the management of concerns and aid in the achievement of personal and academic success.  In order to promote an inclusive community where the dignity and rights of all are affirmed, we recognize that there are times when students need additional help due to unforeseen emergencies.
