The Siena College Counseling Center, part of the Student Life division, offers short-term, solution-focused mental health counseling, group workshops, case management, and psychiatric care for all enrolled students. All appointments are free and confidential. The Center aims to promote mental health and wellness, as well as help remove obstacles to students’ academic success.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity

The Center holds true to the acronym DORS – Diversity, Optimism, Respect, and Service – to help us frame the Franciscan values of the college, and to ensure our offices are spaces where individuals feel safe, accepted, respected, empowered, seen and heard.

We recognize that various systems have been created to – and continue to – place barriers on the equitable distribution of privilege, power and resources in our society. We condemn acts of violence, hatred and racism, and provide support to those who have experienced marginalization as a result. As counselors, we embrace diversity, advocate for equity, and promote inclusivity in everything we do.

Mantra Health Services

We are grateful to have a partnership with Mantra Health, to provide students with more options for mental health care on campus. Mantra is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services, by offering free teletherapy to enrolled students. A major benefit of Mantra includes evening/weekend session availability for students with demanding schedules (e.g. student athletes, student teachers, those in internships). In addition, Mantra employs a diverse pool of licensed providers, allowing students to choose a counselor that’s a good fit.
