SERVICES

  • FIRST CLASS MAIL

    Defined by the USPS. as mail pieces that are handwritten (script) or typewritten including postcards. However, handwritten mail pieces must be sent at first class postage rates. Whereas typewritten mail pieces can be sent either first class mail or by using a lower first class rate.
  • PRIORITY MAIL

    All mailing pieces may be mailed at Priority Mail rates. First class mail weighing more than 13 ounces must be mailed at Priority Mail rates. This is a two/three day service to most domestic destinations. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEED SERVICE.
  • MEDIA MAIL

    Books, tapes, CD’s, and all printed matter.
  • LIBRARY RATE

    Large, heavy, mailing pieces that are addressed to a library being sent from a library.
  • STANDARD POST

    Mail that weighs more than 13 ounces may be sent at a lesser parcel post rate ergo with slower service.
  • OVERNIGHT EXPRESS MAIL

    Guaranteed next day delivery for certain zip codes. Your express item must be to the Campus Post Office by 3PM.  There is no express mail services available on Fridays during Summer hours or Saturdays.
  • CERTIFIED MAIL

    Provides a mailing receipt for the sender but does not provide indemnity coverage. A record of delivery is kept at the delivery post office. This service is for domestic mail only.
  • INSURED MAIL

    Indemnity up to $800.00 dollars may be purchased for any mail piece. Packages that appear to have been insufficiently prepared will not be accepted for mailing. This is at the discretion of the postal employee.
  • RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED

    Provides sender with a signature record of delivery and date. This service can accompany Overnight Express, Certified, Registered, and Insured Mail.
  • POSTAL MONEY ORDERS

    (available Monday through Friday 8:30 to 11:30 AM) Maximum amount is $500.00.  There is a fee for this service; please check with the Post Office for the current rate.  
  • INTERNATIONAL MAIL

    Call or stop at the college post office for more information. All custom forms must be completed online and printed prior to bringing your package to the Post Office. Find customs form here.
